GRAPHSY 2022!

The graduate students in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University would like to invite graduate students to submit abstracts for the Graduate Portuguese and Hispanic Symposium 2022 (GRAPHSY). The conference will be held hybrid-like on Friday, February 18, 2022, on Georgetown University’s campus, with this year’s theme being Identidades híbridas: la imaginación de lo social/a imaginação do social (Hybrid identities: The imagination of the social). 

This year, the literature side of the conference welcomes Dr. Odette Casamayor-Cisneros (University of Pennsylvania) as our distinguished keynote speaker, while the linguistics side of the conference welcomes a panel comprised of the following distinguished academics:

Dr. Anna Babel (The Ohio State University)

Dr. Víctor Corona (University of Paris 8)

Dr. Jennifer Leeman (George Mason University)

Dr. José Magro (University of Maryland)

Dr. Tracy Quan (University of Colorado Boulder)

Graduate students at any level in their studies are welcome to participate in GRAPHSY 2022. Undergraduate students will also be considered for poster presentations. Professors who may want to join us are welcome to submit proposals with graduate students as co-presenters.
