Congratulations to Jorge E. Ramos!

It has been announced that Jorge E. Ramos (Georgetown University) and his co-author Dr. Christine Shea (University of Iowa)’s article: “Speaking Race or Racialized Speaking: Evidence from Perceptions of Lateral Variants by Puerto Rican Listeners” has been selected as the winner of the 2024 Hispania Outstanding article competition.

This summer, the article will be recognized during the awards ceremony at the 106th Annual AATSP Conference in Portland, Oregon (Conference website: https://www.aatsp.org/page/2024Conference (new window)).
