2021 – 2022 Fulbright Research Grant Awarded to Annie Ornelles!

Annie Ornelles has been awarded a Fulbright Research Grant to Spain for the 2021-2022 year.

Her dissertation research centers on sociolinguistic identity and language attitudes among Galician-speaking youth in contexts of rural-to-urban migration and during the transition to university (Dissertation Advisor: Dr. Víctor Fernández-Mallat).

She will collaborate with professors Dr. Luz Zas Varela of the University of Santiago de Compostela and Dr. Ana Iglesias Álvarez of the University of Vigo during her stay.
