Spanish and Portuguese are indispensable languages of the Americas, Europe, and the world. Catalan’s reach is less extensive than Spanish and Portuguese but is a critical language for understanding Spanish and European history. Portuguese Movie Screening – “Erros Meus, Má Fortuna, Amor Ardente” (2023)
On the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Luís de Camões, the Embassy of Portugal in Washington, D.C., the Oliveira Lima Library of the Catholic University of America, the Spanish and Portuguese Department of Georgetown University, and the Library of Congress organized a series of events called “Camões Thursdays”.
