Job Description:
Instructor of record for SPAN 3000-level tutorial
Prepare description and summer syllabus of a Departmental course level 3000 or above
Design midterm and final exams for the course
Upload texts, bibliography, and other materials relevant to the course to Canvas
Design assignments/research for the course
Hold a minimum of 40 contact hours withthe student via Zoom
Job requirements
MA/MS in Spanish in hand
Native or near-native command of Spanish
Completion of SPAN 5000: Spanish Teacher Education
Minimum one year of teaching experience at the Spanish 3000 level or above in Georgetown’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese
Excellent student evaluations
Leadership skills
Comfortable using technology for language teaching and familiarity with Canvas
Regular attendance at the Spanish Department Pedagogy Workshops.
Satisfactory academic progress
