Ph.D. Degree

All Ph.D. students are required to teach under departmental supervision in partial fulfillment or satisfaction of degree requirements. This requirement serves the purpose of furthering the students’ education and professional training.

All graduate students in the department are required to adhere to high standards of academic performance and integrity. Students are responsible for knowing the policies and standards of the Graduate School and the department concerning the infringement of academic integrity. In their first semester at Georgetown, all students are required to read and sign the program’s AI Policy, which explains the program’s position on AI use in classwork and scholarship.
