This year’s theme is Education Abroad: Language, Learners, and Communities.

This three-day event is from Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 3.
  • Fri: 3:30 pm to 6 pm
  • Sat: 8:30 am to 9 pm
  • Sun: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • Location: Intercultural Center – Edward B. Bunn S.J. Intercultural Center (ICC)
  • Event Host: Department of Spanish & Portuguese; Department of Linguistics; Embassy of Spain in the US-Education Office
  • Event Description: GURT is an annual linguistics conference with a different focus every year. In 2024, GURT’s topic is Education Abroad. GURT brings together scholars and practitioners interested in language development, responsible global citizenship, and language program design.
