GUTelOnX Symposium

This semester, students from our department have had the opportunity through the GUTelOnX Symposium to speak with Portuguese speakers from Brazil and/or Spanish with speakers from Colombia or Mexico. The symposium has been going great, with over fifty individuals attending the keynote event and from 25 – 40 attending each of the session on the symposium’s first day.

The program was developed by the Department of Spanish and Protuguese’s Professor Michael Ferreira in partnership with the Universidade Estadual Paulista, or UNESP. The UNESP also published an article about their 12-year partnership partnership, which can be viewed here .

Congratulations to Professor Ferreira, the UNESP, and all the event organizers on a great start to the program!
