Linxi Zhang is a doctoral student in Hispanic Linguistics at Georgetown University. Her primary research interests include Spanish phonetics/phonology, bilingualism and multilingualism, and third language acquisition. Her current research focuses on L3 phonological development and learner individual differences. She received her bachelor’s degree in China, majoring in Spanish Language and Literature, and received her master’s degree in Hispanic Linguistics at the Florida State University. Since 2017, she’s been perusing her doctor’s degree while teaching undergraduate-level Spanish language and linguistics courses at Georgetown Department of Spanish and Portuguese. In addition to her primary research interests, she’s passionate about language teaching and learning in a multilingual context and bilingualism in Latinx community.
