Join the Department of Spanish and Portuguese for a conversation with Brazilian artist Moises Patricio. We will be discussing his work of art and its relation with social media, every day life in São Paulo, and the politics of race in Brazil today.

This talk will be in Portuguese. Discussion will be held in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Moises Patricio (1984) lives and works in São Paulo (Brazil). As a visual artist and educator, he works with photography, video, performance, and installations. His works deal mainly with Latino and Afro-Brazilian cultures. He has participated in A Nova Mão Afro Brasileira (Museu Afro Brasil, São Paulo, 2014), the 12th Biennale of Contemporary African Art in Dakar (Museum Of African Arts, Senegal, 2016), and Históricas Afro-Atlánticas (Museu de arte de São Paulo, 2018). Currently, he is an artist in residence in AnnexB (Harlem, New York).
