GRADUATE PORTUGUESE AND HISPANIC SYMPOSIUM (GRAPHSY) 2016
The graduate students of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese would like to extend an invitation to the 9th annual Graduate Portuguese and Hispanic Symposium (GRAPHSY), which will be held Feb. 26 and 27. This year’s conference theme is “Herencia y Tradición: Looking back, moving forward” and we are excited to welcome Dr. Silvina Montrul of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as the linguistics keynote speaker, to present her talk, “Why does the heritage language feel like a second language?” on Friday at 5:30 in WGR 206. In addition, many young researchers will be presenting exciting research they’re conducting at universities both in the US and abroad.
