“From October 19 to 23, nine PhD students in Catalan Studies from six different countries will meet at Faberllull to share their knowledge, methodological approaches, and resources. Through collaborative and individual work and meetings with university faculty and the Associació de Joves Investigadors en Llengua i Literatura Catalanes, the participants will build a network that will strengthen the international fabric of the field”
Among the participants will be Julia Alexandrakis, a fourth-year PhD student in Georgetown University’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese, whose research focuses on Catalan-Spanish phonetics and phonology, bilingualism, and language contact.
