Starting fall 2027, the Department will run an automatic check of correct placement during the second week of the add/drop period. Students whose registration does not match placement will be asked to drop their Spanish course, and their name will be added to a list shared with instructors of all sections.
Spanish Placement Exam
- To take the language placement exam, you must enroll in the “course” on Canvas.
- This test can only be taken once.
Spanish Validation Exam
- The Spanish Validation Exam (also known as the Confirmation Exam, NSO placement exam, or proctored exam) is administered one or two days before each semester begins.
